MPEG Software gives you access to some of the software of various ongoing projects. To get access, you need to be an MPEG member and create a personal account to the MPEG git by following the below registration process.

Registration process:

1. Register an account - pending approval. When register, please provide useful information (Name, official email address, National Body). Any request not providing this information will be simply ignored.

2. Inform the Convenor of the corresponding WG or AG that you applied for an account. The convenor will verify that you are a registered member.

3. Once the account has been approved, you have access to the list of groups and repositories. You can request to join a group or a project (repository) as reporter or as developer.

The MPEG Experts landing page contains links to all the services used by MPEG members.

The MPEG File Sharing and Agenda link gives you access to a Nextcloud platform. You will need to create a personal account, which, similarly than for ''software'', will be validated by a convenor, based on your MPEG registration status.

The Nexcloud platform contains a calendar of all MPEG events (meeting, conference calls). Documents for collaboration can also be found on nextcloud, but each working group makes a different use of this platform.

MPEG Documents Management System (DMS).

The DMS system contains 3 main areas in the left navigation menu: User, MPEG, Outside Sites.

* “MPEG” area: The first-level password gives you access to and the capability to view, search, download all MPEG documents, as well as see the meeting information for each AGs and WGs.

* “User” area: is protected by a) the first-level password and b) a personal password that you can create once you are a registered MPEG expert. The user area allows you to upload documents to the DMS system. If you do not need to upload documents (i.e. you are not an active contributor), you don’t need a personal account.

* “Outside sites” area: does not require specific password.

Note that MPEG WG 5, also known as JVET has a similar DMS available at: <nowiki>https://jvet-experts.org/</nowiki>

· The “JVET” area does not require a first-level password.

· The “user” area requires only your personal password.

First of all, please note that password protected access is possible only if you belong to a National Body having activities in ISO/IEC JTC 1 SC 29. Each National Body delegation has specific rules for accepting an expert. Passwords:

When you become an expert, your individual ISO login and password, allows you to:

* Register to MPEG Ad-hoc and Working Groups meetings on the ISO portal.
* Access General MPEG documents in the working area of https://www.iso.org/committee/45316.html

MPEG password:

Only the HoD (Head of Delegation) of each National Body is allowed to distribute a dedicated the first-level password for MPEG to access the following resources:

* Documents: MPEG document management system ( MPEG DMS)
* Content Sequences
* Conformance Sequences

The first level password is updated 4 times per year as follows:

* M1: January, password changes on 1st of March
* M2: April, password changes on 1st of June
* M3: July, password changes on 1st of September
* M4: October, password changes on 1st of December.
