MPEG Communication Kit
This page provides official guidelines for the use of the MPEG logo and PowerPoint presentation template. Please read carefully before using any element of the communication kit.
1. Usage Guidelines for the MPEG Logo
The MPEG logo is the intellectual property of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29/WG 2–8 (MPEG). You are permitted to use the logo only if one or more of the following conditions are met:
- You are an active participant in one or more MPEG Working Groups.
- You represent a company or organization with active participants in MPEG Working Groups.
- You have received written authorization from AG 3.
- You are a journalist or media outlet using the logo for editorial or informational purposes.
2. Available Logo Versions
The official MPEG logo is available in multiple formats for both web and print use:
- Web usage: RGB versions in

, and JPEG

- Dark backgrounds: Inverted logo versions in
SVG
and PNG
(various sizes)
- Print usage: A high-resolution version is available upon request to the AG 2 Convenor, restricted to MPEG meeting hosts.

Note: Meeting hosts may add the location and date below the logo for event-specific use, but the logo must otherwise remain unchanged.
3. Logo Formatting and Color Usage
- Minimum size: Web:

- Light backgrounds (brightness > 85%): Use the standard RGB logo
- Dark backgrounds (brightness < 50%): Use the inverted logo
- Do not alter the logo’s elements, proportions, colors, or orientation.
- Do not apply effects like distortion, shadows, bevels, or glows.
- Do not place other elements too close to the logo that could be interpreted as part of it.
- Do not use the logo to express criticism or negativity toward MPEG or its activities.
- Do not register or incorporate the logo into any other branding or trademark.
