1. Logo Usage Guidelines
The MPEG logo is the intellectual property of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29/WG 2–8 (MPEG). You may use it only if one or more of the following conditions are met:
- You are an active participant in one or more MPEG Working Groups.
- You represent a company or organization with active participants in MPEG Working Groups.
- You have received written authorization from AG 3.
- You are a journalist or media outlet using the logo for editorial or informational purposes.
2. Available Logo Versions
Web usage RGB
Standard and inverted versions in SVG, PNG, and JPEG at various sizes.
Dark backgrounds Inverted
Inverted logo in SVG and PNG at various sizes, optimized for dark backgrounds.
Print usage High-res
High-resolution version available upon request to the AG 2 Convenor. Restricted to MPEG meeting hosts.
Note: Meeting hosts may add the location and date below the logo for event-specific use, but the logo must otherwise remain unchanged.
3. Formatting & Color Rules
- Minimum size: Web:
50 pxheight — Print:0.5 inchesheight - Light backgrounds (brightness > 85%): use the standard RGB logo
- Dark backgrounds (brightness < 50%): use the inverted logo
- Do not alter the logo's elements, proportions, colors, or orientation.
- Do not apply effects such as distortion, shadows, bevels, or glows.
- Do not place other elements too close to the logo that could be interpreted as part of it.
- Do not use the logo to express criticism or negativity toward MPEG or its activities.
- Do not register or incorporate the logo into any other branding or trademark.
